The
Deadly Lady
by Ukpeli-Beni Ebubechi

O! Deadly lady,
Thou famous and known,
Her breath so deadly!
Her steps choke many.
For though she doesn't last for a long time,
her time is well used.
She spreads her wings like a monstrous bird,
For even those that try to escape,
Still get a feel of her choky wings.
She soars gracefully with gladness,
And disperses her seeds of sadness,
Since her work began,
So much harm has been done.
All she leaves is sorrow.
To the future leaders of tomorrow.
When she stretches out her crown of anguish
Nations bow down in languish.
Her effects so severe
For man to persevere.
How long shall she reign?
How! How! How! We ask?
Can't she be stopped?
Before she causes more harm and mayhem
To lands and many men.
How can her wings be broken,
And her crown destroyed?
Surely she can't reign forever!
For there must be a way to get her,
Before she causes more disaster.
Her choky wings must be cut
To make the lands unhurt.
At the end of all these,
We can say bye!! To the deadly lady C02
